InStudio offers a comprehensive interior and exterior decorative finishes service.

Enhance your next project with a special decorative finish

Almost all surfaces and objects are suitable for a decorative finish, plasterboard, concrete, timber, glass, etc, although some finishes are more appropriate than others for particular surfaces. These finishes can also be applied to objects such as furniture. InStudio will recommend the right type of finish to suit your project.

Special decorative finishes provided by InStudio include:

A wide range of gold and metal leaf applications – for splash backs, mouldings, ceilings, walls, furniture, sculpture, decorative objects. InStudio can apply gold leaf gilding to glass, plaster, and metal, as well create murals and stencil effects.

Application, restoration and conservation of oil and water gilded objects and painted surfaces.

Water gilding (pure gold leaf up to 24 karat) – used on glass, wood and furniture to achieve a high lustre finish.

Special gold or silver finishes on acrylic sheet panels (pic. above right), glass and MDF – the high gloss finish adds instant drama and glamour to the product and space. Popular in hospitality settings, bars, wet areas or as screen panels .

Faux finishes, mural, rust/patina applied to doors or joinery to simulate an aged appearance or a shabby chic look.

Marbling, glazing and custom paint finishes on exterior or interior surfaces (see middle pic.).

InStudio can also design, shape, paint, letter and apply finishes to create a feature wall (pic. left).

Stylish three-dimensional solutions for interiors

Explore the possibilities of introducing three-dimensional solutions into your interior. For example, the creation of a grand over mantle or door surround using plaster board and a decorative finish can add finesse and interest to a plain shoe box-like interior.

A shaped wall and/or a multi-level wall can provide an exciting solution for commercial interiors such as shops.
